Managed to get some decent shots of Lyra free stacking yesterday (gotta say thanks to my awesome little brother who always takes pictures for me!). She still isn't great at it--she doesn't seem to know exactly where to place her feet; the back feet are always not far back enough but here are the pictures:
This one's on her show side, meaning the side that the judge will be looking at. She isn't really standing perfectly here, which is why her top line looks off. She is posting. Here's a better stack but her feet aren't level, lol.
Why am I training her to free stack? Well, Cavaliers, unlike other small breeds, are supposed to be free stacked as opposed to hard stacked, so she has to learn how to place her feet correctly by herself instead of having me move them around for her. Much tougher to do!
Also managed to get some nice photos of the dogs... here they are:
Well, exactly another 5 days till our first show and feeling nervous already! Really hoping that Lyra will do well and not decide to be shy and afraid of strangers when she's there. Off to do more training!
