We're done with the crazy, hectic, 3 day show weekend and proud to announce that my beautiful Cavalier, Lyra earned her final 2 CACIBs to finish her International Champion title! Wooohoo!!! She's now known as Int. Ch. & Mys. Grand Ch. Riccaval Zeal Me A Kiss, and has broken all sorts of records with these wins. She is now the first bitch and locally bred Cavalier to earn the titles of International Champion and Grand Champion in Malaysia. To make things better, she is also the YOUNGEST Cavalier to ever do it! She turned 29 months on the weekend of the shows.
Over the weekend, she won a total of 3 BOBs, 1 Reserve BOB, 4 CCs, 2 CACIBs, and earned the title of Malaysian Winner 2013 awarded by Geraldine Gulbransen of New Zealand, who also gave her the 3rd CACIB. In addition, she also qualified for Crufts 2013 when judge Luis Pinto Teixeira of Portugal awarded her the 4th CACIB.
We've had so much fun in the ring, Lyra and I. She is such a joy to show--always in a good mood, always ready to go, and she is (almost) always her perfect self in the ring. I don't know if I'll ever get another dog as special as her. She's the only one who will walk beautifully on a loose lead, head up high, and the best part is that she is absolutely the most lovable little dog in existence. She might be small, but she has enough personality to fit into a cheetah!
Now, on to some fun pictures!
Lyra is now semi-retired because, well, she's pretty much earned all the titles there is to be won... and so, she gets to be a couch potato now.... nah, not really. She has way too much energy to be a couch potato! She's really happy that she doesn't have to wear anymore vile snoods!
Here are some pictures taken after the shows... just of the dogs having fun!
Anyway, do check out our brand new Puppies page to see what exciting things we have planned!
This is where I update news on shows that any of my dogs are entered in, or shows at which I'm just a spectator.
