Gambit (Lucidity's King's Gambit) was whelped on 25th September 2021. His sire is Devlin, CKCSC-USA & AKC Ch. Dreamvale Devil Without a Cause who was bred by Karen Sage of Dreamvale Cavaliers in Pennsylvania and his dam is Minerva. Devlin is still heart clear at the age of 6 and Minerva is heart clear at the age 3.5. Devlin's grandsire, Ch. Pascavale Smarty was heart clear till the age of 9. Minerva's sire and dam also hold MRI clear certificates and are heart clear past the age of 6.

Gambit made his debut in the show ring in April 2022, at the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of BC's specialty show, where he went Reserve Winners Dog at only 6 months old under judge Graham Kerr from Australia!

Unfortunately, after taking Gambit to quite a few shows throughout 2022, it became clear that he didn't enjoy it at all, so the decision was made to place him in a pet home where he can play, go for walks an be a couch potato! It's very important to us that our show dogs actually enjoy showing. There's nothing worse than seeing a dog slinking around the ring because they are bored or just dislike being there.
